Night Stalker is a Netflix docuseries focused on serial killer Richard Ramirez, who terrorized California from April of 1984 to August of 1985. He was not only a serial killer, but a serial rapist and robber.
The docuseries follows those involved in the case as they relive the steps from the first crime up until they successfully apprehended Ramirez. This series is very well done, and flows well. Each of the four episodes keeps you highly engaged and wanting to know where it goes in the next episode. I found that even as someone who was previously aware of the Night Stalker crimes, I learned significantly more watching this series. Another thing I enjoyed about the series is that it does not glorify or romanticize Ramirez, as some serial killer docuseries sometimes do. Overall, this docuseries has something for everyone. However, be prepared to get emotional. This series will provoke many emotions as you watch the various detectives relive the cases. I give this series a 10/10. I found no issues with it, nor did it overwhelm me with time. In fact, the episodes passed by very quickly and I found myself wanting a fifth episode. You can watch Night Stalker exclusively on Netflix.
